Your clients can now pay for their own checks

Send a client a secure link where they pay by card for their own identity check or full KYC onboarding. No tokens are used, and refunds are automatic if they withdraw first.

Many firms pass the cost of identity checks on to their clients. BPSi Verify now lets the client pay directly, by card, as part of the secure link you send them. Nothing comes out of your token balance, and you don't handle the payment.

Two ways to use it

ID check — client pays (in Quick Checks) — $22.00 incl. GST

  • Enter your client's name and email, and BPSi Verify sends them a secure link.
  • Your client pays, then enters their Australian ID document details (passport, driver licence or Medicare card), which are verified through the government document verification system with their consent.
  • You see the result in your Quick Checks list, marked as paid by the client.

KYC — client pays (in Client Register → Individuals, the gold button) — $27.50 incl. GST

  • For a new client. BPSi Verify sends them a secure link.
  • Your client pays, gives their PEP self-declaration, and verifies their ID document.
  • When the ID is verified, sanctions screening and PEP screening run automatically.
  • The client is added to your Client Register with the result, marked as paid by the client.

What your client sees

  • Your firm's name and the price, before they agree to anything.
  • BPSI's terms for client-paid checks, which they accept before paying (they can download a copy).
  • A secure card payment page, and a receipt from BPSI showing the GST.

Refunds

If your client withdraws their consent before any check runs, they're refunded in full, automatically, and your register shows the check as refunded.

What you need to do

Nothing to set up. Use the ID check — client pays tile in Quick Checks, or the gold KYC — client pays button in the Client Register. Checks you pay for with tokens work exactly as before.
